The Rescued Blind Elephant Receives a Heartwarming Welcome by a Herd in the Sanctuary

Nothing could be more beautiful than one receiving the love he or she deserves, at last. Well, it doesn’t have to be a personĀ  to receive love. Does it? What about animals? Don’t they deserve to be loved?

This blind elephant who was used in a circus for years and years finally feels the warmth of love of her own kind. She was rescued by the Save Elephant Foundation and moved to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai.

The 30-year-old Ploy Thong doesn’t have a happy story. She was used to carry tourists on her back in the Pattaya region in Thailand. This has happened for decades before she was rescued.

An amazing thing happened once she was placed in the sanctuary. As she is blind, she sent a low vibration for the others of her kind to know her presence. As a result, the other elephants in the sanctuary reached her and gave her the compassion she has never experienced in her life.

”Both eyes blind, she transported tourists every day. Every day she was saddled early, and carried riders until the sun set. She used her trunk to sniff the way while the tourist rode on her back. [But] her journey to freedom begins. “said the staff from the Save Elephant Foundation.

And finally Ploy realized that she found her home after all those years of suffering.
