Two-and-Half Year Old Bloodhound Who Was Being Let Out To Peel, Ends Up Winning the Seventh Place in a Marathon

Imagine you’ve been practicing for a marathon for months and suddenly a dog who is out for peeing takes your place in the race.
I mean is it even possible?
Yeah, the exact thing happened in the ‘Elkmont Trackless Train Half Marathon in Albania’.

The runners were on the track to complete a 13.5-mile race and suddenly a Bloodhound was on the track. This late entrant is Ludivine who is a two-and-half-year dog. When people were curious about this non-registered entrant, it was found that Ludivine was out to pee and saw the racers who were passing by. Well, which dog would stay when (s)he sees people running? So, Ludivine was the same. She slowly crept beneath the garden fence and started chasing them, eventually becoming a competitor in the race and got 7th place!

It was reported that she ditched the race several times. One time it was to play with a herd of cows. And then it was to sniff a dead rabbit. Yet, she managed to finish the race as the 7th competitor in about an hour and a half.

April Hamil, the owner, was astonished when she received a medal. Obviously she might have been wondering where her dog was. So, it’s fair of her to be taken back with the news of her dog.

”My initial reaction was one of embarrassment and concern that she could have gotten in the path of the other racers. She’s laid-back and pleasant, so I’m surprised she ran the entire half marathon because she’s usually very lethargic”
Maybe Ludivine was saving her energy for the big race. Who knows?
Many photos of Ludivine running have been shared on social media.

Jim Clemens was the fourth of the race and was almost beaten by Ludivine to the finish line. “Every time I thought she had dropped off to go home, I’d hear her racing back up to me, and she’d sprint past me up to the two leaders.”

However, after finishing a successful race, Ludivine is now back to her normal life with April. Well, who knows what her next adventure might be. But we will be waiting for it.
