Last November this loving dog named Conway went missing from his home in Highlands County, Florida. His human parents looked for him everywhere though sadly, he was nowhere to be found.
Days went by without any news about him and it became weeks and months. Conway was still nowhere to be found. His family was heartbroken and lived sadly with his bittersweet memory.
But it wouldn’t stay that way forever.
After 10 months to the day after Conway disappeared an emaciated and exhausted stray dog was spotted walking down a street all alone. He was picked up and taken to the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office’s animal service unit.
No one knew where the pup had come from.
The poor dog was unable to explain what is his past, or where he was. But the answer was with him. Conway had been microchipped. After a quick scan, authorities had all the information they needed to alert his family.
Many months of heartache soon came to a close. A reunion was arranged at the sheriff’s office. Conway was finally home after 10 months!
It was an emotional ending to Conway and his family’s long ordeal though it was not only their happy tears shed. When the video of the reunion went viral even the strangers were emotional too.
Many comments were saying they cried watching this.
After all the happy tears, Conway’s rescuers couldn’t have been happier. “Any time we do this it is a victory, but this is one of those that definitely stands out for all of us.” Scott Dressel of the Highlands County Sheriff’s office told finally.
