Cat is Adamant to Get Into School to be with Her Kids

Back in 2019, Luna the cat was adopted, and since that fateful day, her adoptive family has been her pack. Being a very protective cat, Luna follows them everywhere they go, even when they leave the house, Luna follows them out.

In an interview, Luna’s human mom, Heather Lucier has this to say:
“She loves going for walks with us. She’ll lead the way and make sure we are going the way she wants us to regularly! It’s really cute and people around the neighborhood tell me it’s the cutest thing they’ve ever seen … She used to follow us to pick up the kids’ free school lunches back in 2020, following us across the street and to the other side of the school to, I’d like to think, make sure we were OK and coming home again since we’d been home with her for months.”

Until recently, Luna’s human siblings had school from home, and now as they are back to in-person school, she’s in love with walking them to school whenever she can. As they live very close to the school, it’s a super easy walk. Since Luna walks the kids to school most days, everyone at the school recognizes her and loves to see her. Although it hasn’t been an issue with her walking with the kids to school, one day, Luna decided she wanted more.

One sunny day, Luna decided that she also wanted to attend classes with her siblings, rather than just walking them to school. Although she tried her best to sneak into the school, since everyone at the school knew her, all her best laid plans were ruined as the school called here human mom.

In her interview, Lucier also had this to say: “When I realized it was the front office, I freaked out, thinking one of my kids was injured or sick. Thankfully they called to say, ‘While I love Luna and have no problem with her hanging out … she’s trying to follow people into the school.’ I apologized repeatedly before literally throwing on a jacket and running over to get Luna before she got herself in any real trouble! I do appreciate the fact that the person who called was laughing and told me that Luna was so sweet and not a problem … other than trying to sneak into the school.”

The woman rushed to the school as soon as possible before their cat made inside the school. When she arrived at the school, the cat acted as if nothing out of the norm had happened. Lucier also says: “I was a bit away from the main doors she was trying to sneak through when I called, ‘LUNA!’ and who came running? Luna, meowing happily with her tail up in excitement as she pranced across the grass to me.”

With the promise of food, the woman lured Luna home, and as the cat had been caught being sneaky, she knew that she was defeated that day. When the children came back home from school, their mom told them the entire story of Luna’s escapades, and the kids absolutely loved it. Finally Lucier had this to say: “My son laughed while saying he wished she’d come to his class because his class has a board of class pets, and it’d be cool to just bring Luna into the classroom because that was so much cooler than a picture.” Although the first time she was caught, there’s still hope, and there’s no doubt that Luna would most definitely try to get into the school soon enough.
