This cute 6 weeks old kitten named Nuggie didn’t have a family of her own. So she decided to travel near and far until someone kind-hearted would help her. Then one day as she felt tired and hungry to go on, she decided to stop in front of the exact right person’s home with the sense of getting help. And she wouldn’t take “No” for an answer.
On that lucky day, Nuggie perched herself up against the kind stranger’s windowpane and cried a bit for help. When no one came for her aid, she cried a little longer. Eventually, Nuggie’s plan worked. The homeowner took notice and brought her inside to keep her safe. Then she gave a call to a local rescue to take over.
“A Detroit resident contacted us about a tiny kitten less than a pound on their porch” May Walsh of Detroit Community Cat Rescue said. “They sent a photo, and we just couldn’t say no!”
May and the team jumped into action to bring Nuggie into their care. She had just minor health issues to start.
“She is healthy and happy,” May said. She loves to cuddle, and more than that she loves to play a little longer. May says that she reminds them of a cricket when she jumps around. Her whiskers are longer than her body, so she sometimes trips over them.
The playful kitten is now looking for a forever family where she will never be alone again. She brings more joy and happiness to the shelter staff and the whole shelter. She proves to us that rescue is so rewarding for humans as well as cats.
