Cheetahs are so shy that zoos give them their own emotional support dogs

You may not expect from the fastest animals in the world, which is also a dangerous predator to be sensitive. But, they also are cute as every other animal. Sometimes they get so anxious and stressed they can’t even socialize or procreate. And here come the perfect solution from a really unexpected source!

Zoo keepers studied their behavior and they got to know that they obviously need assistance. So now they are assigning them their own emotional support dogs.

The vice president of animal collections at the St. Louis zoo, Jack Grisham says that it is kind of love story, that one species helping another species to be survive.

According to Janet Rose-Hinostroza, the animal training supervisor at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, a dominant dog is helpful when breeding out the African animals. Because instinctively, they are quite shy creatures.

When you pair cheetah cub with a guide dog, the cat looks to the dog for cues and learns to model their behavior. It’s about getting them to read them calm and happy vibes from the dogs. It helps them to be more confident to get it on.
