The wounded tigress didn’t let anyone approach her. She didn’t chase them away either. That means she was in pain and needed help. Luckily, the rescue team arrived just in time to save the animal. They relocate her to the Alekseevka rehabilitation center, where they found out about her medical problems.

She acted peacefully like she was waiting for help. But the condition was severe and it needed urgent action. The team initially thought that the wound came as a result of poaching, but it proved otherwise.

There were no visible injuries from poaching. However, there are problems with her oral cavity and she’s thoroughly exhausted. She had a serious gum problem, and there are no upper teeth. The team is now doing everything in their power to save the tigress. Siberian tigers are an endangered species with less than 500 individuals left in the wild.
