Meet Louie. He is a smart sheepdog who lives with Marolyn Driver’s parents’ farm in New Zealand. When he was a few weeks old, he was a cheerful and curious pup who was full of energy and liked wandering around their property and exploring their neighborhoods. But when he grew up, his daily routine changed. He started to hang out around the house.

One day Louie didn’t appear for several hours. His parents started to be concerned about him. On that day Marolyn has decided to visit her parents. She found them in a deep worry. But happily, after some hours, the dog returned home with a strange note around his neck. Louie looked exhausted and dirty.

The note was from Rob, who wrote that. Rob was the family’s neighbor farmer and they had a dog named Maddy. Sooner they found out what happened to them.

On that day, Maddy was missing too. Her owner Rob has started to look for her everywhere she could be. But it gave no result. Coming back home, he encountered Louie, who insisted Rob to follow him.

Rob trusted Louie’s instinct and followed him. Surprisingly he found the missed dog stuck in bushes. Louie started to dig around to help Rob pull his friend out.

Thanks to him, Maddy was saved. The two exhausted dogs were running quickly to the nearby pond. They jumped into it and started to drink. Louie was so tired that day, and even he refused to eat.

The family was concerned about his state but the next day, but when Louie saw Maddy on his owner’s bicycle he recovered miraculously and started playing with his friend.

This was a happy day for dog friends.
