Many people go for a day of shopping at the CF Shops at Don Mills in Toronto, Canada. Recently they have also become a place of the morning for a goose, who became lonely after the partner died.
The female goose has recently been hit by a car nearby and ever since her mate has returned to wait atop the shop’s rooftop every day with the hope of seeing her again. This site has broken shoppers’ hearts for weeks.
The shopper Colin Tobias says that he looks very sad. He misses his wife, and he is wandering around wondering, looking.
The lonely goose has been spotted on various rooftops around the shopping center including nearby staffers at LCBO, a wine and spirit store that noticed the goose’s somber mood.
Sayad Rasulnezhad, an LCBO employee told the that, the goose was depressed and sad, and it made him cry!
This heartbroken goose occasionally takes breaks to wander for food. Sometimes, he disappears for a couple of hours only to return and wait, again.
Looking at him, many wildlife experts say that these geese typically mate for life. it makes the sighting even more tragic. Shoppers and staff are hoping that after the goose finishes this period of mourning, he will find someone else in the area to love.
Tobias hopes that he should be looking for a mate. And he is ready to help him.
