Stray puppy finds his hero in a naval base

Being a stray puppy is the hardest part of puppy life. Seeing the world alone, adopt to it and wandering everywhere as a stray is not that easy for a pup. But when that pup found someone who can treat him well, they will be the lucky souls ever.

Griffon is such a lucky pup. The 6-months old stray was found wandering the streets for a long time. He had given up his idea of being in a family. But fortunately, his wandering led him into the unlikeliest of places he can find his hero- an overseas naval base.

A U.S. Naval Commander saw the cutie and immediately realized that he wouldn’t survive alone in such a dangerous environment. He took the little one into his arms as he reminds the motto of his unit, ‘Those who arrive alive, leave alive’ and he knew that he had to apply it to this little soul too. Paws of War a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to veterans and first responders didn’t forget to write this story on Facebook. Everyone on the base heard about Griffon and wanted to meet him.

When the commander stepped up to care for Griffon he formed a strong bond with the pup and the pup always followed him everywhere. Everyone who met him loved him so much.

The hero commander decided to adopt the pup and take him home when he returns stateside. Gary Baumann the spokesperson of Paws of War said the commander and Griffon will be together again soon.

“Griffon is a super pup,” said Baumann. He loves everyone and everyone he meets loves him too. They are hoping to have a reunion soon. The commander’s wife and kids are waiting in Maryland to welcome Griffon home! Finally, the stray puppy is going to end the saddest period of his life forever.
