Last year, Josiane Lúcia De Almeida da Silva, an animal rescuer based in Brazil, received an urgent call about a remote area on the outskirts of town near her residence. Upon arrival, she discovered a heartbreaking scene: three helpless puppies stranded near an illegal dumpsite, seemingly abandoned with no hope of survival.
Approaching cautiously, Josiane witnessed the timid pups cautiously emerging from the foliage, clearly wary yet desperate for assistance. Despite their initial hesitation, they soon realized Josiane’s genuine intentions and began to seek her aid.

With patience and care, Josiane not only provided comfort but also transformed their lives. According to Clarissa Castro Braga, a veterinarian friend of Josiane’s, she took them into her home, ensuring they received essential vaccinations, deworming treatments, and nourishment tailored to their needs.
While the circumstances leading to their abandonment remain unclear, one thing is undeniable: these puppies will never lack love and care again. With time, as they regained their strength, they were given the opportunity for a fresh start.

Braga explained, “As soon as they were healthy and matured, Josiane and I organized an adoption event at my veterinary clinic, where all the puppies found loving homes.”
